Industrial Centrifuge
KWS supplies a quality-assured range of industrial centrifuges for solid–liquid separation in demanding process and ZLD applications. Our product line covers pusher centrifuges for continuous salt and crystal dewatering, basket centrifuges for batch-mode separation of fine or delicate crystals, continuous centrifuges for high-throughput duties, and bag-lifting centrifuges where clean, contained product discharge is required. All units are provided in appropriate metallurgy and surface finish for the application — from food-grade to corrosion-resistant alloys for chemical service.
Key Advantages
Multiple centrifuge types
Pusher, basket, continuous and bag-lifting configurations to match every solid–liquid separation requirement.
ZLD-optimised
Integrated with crystallisers and ATFD dryers as the salt/crystal separation stage in Zero Liquid Discharge trains.
High centrifugal force
Delivers low residual moisture in the cake, reducing downstream drying load and energy consumption.
Process-compatible metallurgy
SS 316L, duplex and Hastelloy options for corrosive, abrasive and high-purity service.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a pusher and basket centrifuge?
A pusher centrifuge operates continuously, pushing dewatered cake out of the bowl axially — ideal for high-throughput salt and crystal duties. A basket centrifuge is batch-operated and suits fine, delicate or lower-volume crystals where gentle handling is needed.
Where does the centrifuge sit in a ZLD plant?
After the crystalliser — the centrifuge separates the crystallised salt from the mother liquor, producing a low-moisture salt cake for disposal or sale. The centrate is recycled back to the evaporator.
